Anatomy Open Model Lab


The Wingspan offers the Open Model Lab for students to independently study anatomy models.  

The Wingspan Open Model Lab is located in Anschutz 432, 433, & 434 and operates Mondays - Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM and Sundays from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM. 

Reserving your Spot in the Anatomy Open Model Lab: 

To reserve your spot in the Anatomy Open Model Lab, use the Jayhawk GPS Navigate Student App or log into Jayhawk GPS via the Navigate360 website using your KU single sign-on. For more details, use the instructions below, or check out the following video: Navigate Scheduling Instructions Video.  

  1. You have two options for making an appointment:  
  2. On the app, click "+" (the plus sign) on the top right of the page and then "Schedule Appointment."  
  3. On the website, click "Drop-in or Schedule Appointment."  
  4. For the "What type of appointment are you interested in? (i.e., Advising or Other Support)" dropdown, click "Learning and Writing Support Services."  
  5. For the "Which of the following topics best describes your need?" dropdown, click on "Anatomy Open Model Lab.”  
  6. Pick the date you want to attend.  
  7. Click on the date/time you want.  
  8. Check the “Email Reminder” option to receive an email before your appointment. If you set your Jayhawk GPS settings to allow text messages, you could also choose that option.  
  9. Press the “Schedule” button. You will see a success page where you can then go to view the details of your appointment. You will also receive a confirmation email with the date, time, location, and details about how to attend.

Important Notes

  • Anatomy Open Model Lab is independent study time with models.

  • Anatomy Open Model Lab is independent study time with models. It is not a 1:1 tutoring appointment.

  • Up to 10 students can sign up for a 1-hour time slot

  • Students are limited to reserve two 1-hour time slots per day and three time slots per week.

  • You can drop-in for the Anatomy Open Lab but students with appointments will take priority.
