Service Options
Any student enrolled in classes at KU is eligible for Peer Academic Coaching. Peer Academic Coaching is available, beginning the second week of each semester.
PACs are available for individual appointments to support students with a range of academic behaviors, habits, and strategies.
One-on-one Coaching Sessions
Students seeking individualized support from a Peer Academic Coach can make two different types of appointments, (1) Learning Strategies or (2) Life Skills. These appointments may be best suited for students who need support and resources on better life and academic habits based on what works best for them. During these appointments, students may seek help on a variety of topics, including homework plans, time management, goal setting, study strategies, and other life habits. Each session will focus on the individual student’s needs.
Body Doubling Sessions
These appointments are targeted towards students that may benefit from having another person available for motivation and accountability. During these appointments, students may bring their own work to the session and sit with a Peer Academic Coach as an accountability partner to make progress on their work.
For these individual appointments,
- Students are allowed to make individual appointments once every two weeks of the semester.
- Students are welcome to drop in to see if a PAC is available for an individual appointment.
- During busier times of the semester, the PACs may be busy and may have limited or no drop-in availability, so it’s best to make an appointment.
